Congratulations to everyone on the Mickey Mouse Clubhouse Team at DQ!! Your superb craftsmanship, talent, and hard work have helped to make the show well-loved by millions of kids. We are all so proud.
So this weekend I went up to Pixar to do a screening of Miles for employees and their families. Our favorite astronaut, Dr. Cagle, also came and did a Q & A with me. It was great and I wanted to pass along some of the enthusiastic feedback I got from the Pixarians.
As for 7D, the sequence of animation you’ve sent me is amazing. So I wanted to write back to you to thank you personally, and congratulate your whole team at DQ for having been able to achieve the great challenge of the hybrid animation, with the support of Tarik and all our team here at Method.
There is a level of craftsmanship and care in this test that really shows how much you have grown as a studio since Mickey Mouse Clubhouse. The car transformation made us laugh out loud. Your animators added many funny touches to give the car personality but still kept the weight and solidity of it. Well done.
The team has been very pleased with the speed and quality of the work produced by DQ for this effort. We look forward to working together with DQ on other animations efforts that will come up in other games. Thank you so much for all your efforts - they have been greatly appreciated.
Disney loved the animation. They were very pleased with the acting and the amount of personality the DQ team gave the show. Please thank the entire team and Pavan for me. I know Pavan put a great deal of passion into the episode, I can tell right away. I’m glad to know that Director handouts helped.
“We have been so busy working with and enjoying the wonderful work you all have done on our Doc McStuffin Christmas special that I didn't take the time to say thanks -all the hard work you’ve done really shows and the special is looking amazing! We’ve shared with Disney now and I am sure they’ll be really pleased with all the work so far too! So thanks, and please pass our appreciation on to the others. All the best!”
We watched the Fancy Nancy test. We were all very excited and exhilarated seeing the character come to life, as well as the butterfly. The characters clearly interact and Nancy’s expressions work really well. It’s a great combination of excellent model building, Rigging, Animation, Lighting and Compositing.
